What sets us apart

The third way between a large firm and a lone freelancer

When a company looks for a data partner, two models are on offer, and each has its strengths. The large firm brings the capacity, the processes and the continuity of an organisation. The independent brings sharp expertise, a direct relationship and the commitment of someone who delivers what they sold.

We are the third way, and that is not a posture: it is our history. 2-M began as a freelance practice, and we kept what made it valuable while adding what it lacked.

What we kept from freelancing

Continuous training, because an independent who stops learning disappears. Billing for real time. The fact that whoever sells is whoever delivers. And the duty to say no when a project is not for us.

What we added

Continuity: one person leaving no longer puts a project at risk. Capacity: eleven people hold a scope a single consultant could not. And structure: separate environments, code reviews, tests.

It is the most honest proposal we can make. A sales presentation will teach you what we choose to show; a day at our offices in Saint-Priest will teach you how we really work, including when something is not going well.

You will see the projects under way, talk to the consultants, and know whether it clicks. It is a criterion widely underrated on a project lasting several months.

Eleven people: is that enough for a large project?

It is the fair question. Our answer is a figure: up to seven Business Central instances and seven CRMs consolidated on a single model, full scope. The capacity of a team is not measured by its headcount but by what it has already carried through. With us every consultant is senior: that is what lets the person who scopes your project deliver it.

Who will actually work on our project?

The consultant present at the scoping workshop: they follow the project through to acceptance, and the team stays the same from start to finish. It is a direct consequence of our size, and one of the reasons we grow at the pace at which we can train people.

How do you charge?

By the half-hour, for time actually spent, with the detail of hours on every invoice. You pay for what was done, and the final amount matches what was announced. It is a practice inherited from our freelance origins, and we kept it as it was.

Can we come and meet you?

Gladly, and we mean it: come and spend a day at our offices at 30 rue Champ Dolin in Saint-Priest, twenty-five minutes from Lyon Part-Dieu. It is the most honest way to know who you will be working with, far more than a sales presentation. Let us know in advance so the right people are there.
